SUMMARY:
Operations Manager R730KCTC Booysens Area, Cold Storage exp. Logistics/Supply Chain qualification

POSITION INFO:

Lead, structure and develop the Logistics Team (12 employees). Establish and implement Stock Control Systems for the warehouse (cold storage and ambient products) Apply FIFO principles and minimise the risk of holding short-dated stock or sending short-dated stock to customers.

Record, check and store finished goods transferred from the factory in Booysens area as well as inventory received from third parties, delievered directly to warehouses.Record and check inventory sent from the warehouse to the plant in Booysens area. Record and check inventory sent to 3rd party distributors as well a to direct customers. Build relationships with 3rd party distributors and direct customers. Checking picking slips and ensuring stock availability to invoice before the invoice is processed, liaise with Demand planning and invoicing departments. Book delivery slots with 3rd party distributors. Manage CHEP pallet account and Chep pallet transfers. Daily stock balances to be agreed upon with Procurement. Monthly, daily stock take. Oversee cycle counting and monthly and financial year end stock takes. Variance analysis and investigation, implement controls, stock rotation procedures and manage preparation of orders after hours. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs. Fleet maintenance and management including forklifts. Implement and review SLA. Special Projects and manage off-site storage warehouses.

Desired Experience & Qualification

A formal qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.

Minium 5 years''''''''management expereince in a logostics focused role and in COLD CHAIN Management.

Record of succesful distrbution and logistcs management

Excellent numeracy skills

Deadline driven, attention to detail

Driver''''''''s licence and onw reliable vehicle
