Operations Manager (Services Division)

SUMMARY:
An Engineering and Machine supply company based in the Kempton Park URGENTLY seeks an experienced Operations Manager/Engineer within their Services Division.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification:

• Qualified/Trade Tested Millwright
• Certificate/Diploma: Project Management
• Diploma: Sales Engineer (Advantageous)

Requirements

• Computer Skills:Advantage/SOS/Syspro
• Must have at least 20 years of operational management experience within an Engineering/Technical background - dealing with people on a professional level
• To be able to manage a large workforce
• Be hands on with Machines/Sales/Finance and Operations
• Understand financial systems
• Selling and service skills
• Strong administration and managemet skills(MUST HAVE)
• Proven trach record
• Be able to meet Sales Targets
• Excellent customer service skills
• Have sound knowledge of vertical and horizontal machining centres, turning centres, large boring mills, profile cutting and drilling lines, grinding machines, laser cutting systems, bending machines, punching and forming machinery, automatic sawing equipment, roll forming and tube bending machinery, manufacturing lines for tubes, presses, measuring equipment and much more.
• Machine repairs and services
• Well organised and systematic

Duties

• Planning jobs of technicians (+- 40)
• Quotations/ Invoices/Costings to go out to customers
• Improve value ads - customer satisfaction
• To manage 40-60 staff (Direct and Indirect)
• Job cards
• Follow up on time sheets
• Project Managemet
• Training
• Provide solutions to problems/ be able to prevent delays
• Improve customer service
• Management of reports
