Operations Optimisation Engineer

SUMMARY:

Internationally established Manufacturing organisation based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking to appoint a hands-on Operations Optimisation Engineer.

The Operations Optimisation Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and improving current machinery and operations.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Obtain data from data capturers, analyse data, and administrate.
• Monitor production processes and process flows.
• Check and approve data captured by production department.
• Conduct time studies on production machines and processes.
• Present production data in a usable format.
• Determine plant throughput Identify key areas of improvement related to production efficiency.
• Determine production attainment and compare to actual production.

Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering from a reputable
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in a similar manufacturing/production plant environment.
• Experience in a mechanical engineering environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
