Operations Supervisor – High-Paced Logistics & Delivery Environment

We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily delivery operations, warehouse efficiency, and driver performance. This is a hands-on role requiring irregular working hours and exceptional organisational skills.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all express deliveries meet strict service-level timelines and performance targets
- Monitor delivery progress throughout the day, supporting drivers to maintain on-time performance
- Oversee warehouse operations including sorting, packing, parcel allocations, and stock control
- Minimise operational losses through strong controls and proactive problem-solving
- Manage performance for both express and food deliveries, including complaints resolution, incident management, and driver retraining where needed
- Plan and manage driver rosters according to demand forecasts
- Recruit, onboard, and validate new drivers and ensure all contractor documents remain compliant
- Deliver SOP training to drivers and operations staff
- Conduct incident reporting, vehicle and uniform checks, and health & hygiene screenings
- Administer penalties, deductions, and cash-up processes accurately
- Lead and train office staff to ensure all processes meet strict performance and compliance standards
Requirements:- Proven experience in logistics, last-mile delivery, or a similar operational environment
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours in a high-pressure setting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
