PAM 15524 - Production Manager (Press) – Durban North

Your duties will encompass:

• Ensure a philosophy of safety first is built into all operational processes and manage the development and execution off all plans and activities
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and implements continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and/or inefficiencies and implement corrective active
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance and Logistics to resolve bottlenecks
• Ensure effective SOP’s to govern production
• Analyse and manage rework and reduce rejection rate
• Achieve volume targets in line with production plans and legal and compliance requirements
• Ensure production lines reached targeted efficiencies and resolve escalated problems (including checking and reducing delays)
• Work with maintenance to ensure the availability and efficient running of machines and equipment to ensure no delays or unplanned downtime.
• Ensure consumables are available to produce parts
• Build and maintain relationships with customer to understand and anticipate production needs
• Take responsibility for performance of direct reports focusing on all aspects of sound people management
