Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern PHP frameworks
Design and optimise database structures to support scalable applications
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product teams to deliver quality solutions
Participate in code reviews and contribute to bestâpractice development standards
Investigate performance issues and implement effective improvements

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Relevant qualification in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in backend PHP development
Strong understanding of objectâoriented programming principles
Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL
Familiarity with APIs, version control, and collaborative development workflows
Exposure to testing, containerised environments, or deployment processes will be advantageous
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment
