POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified and experienced PLANT MANAGER (FMCG MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) for a well-established large concern, position based in the Durban area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering discipline (Mechanical /Electrical/Chemical or Industrial).

Production related qualification will be an advantage (polymer processing).

7yrs+ experience in FMCG manufacturing environment.

5yrs+ previous experience at leadership level.

Proven experience of preventative maintenance processes.

Strong MS Office skills (advanced MS Excel skills).  Capable of managing through production systems (JDE knowledge would be useful).

Asset care experience.

Understanding of costing and financing principles (income statement / balance sheet).

Analytical abilities with a proven track record in coaching, problem solving and decision-making skills.

Providing leadership and strategic alignment to ensure realization of business objectives and goals.

Measuring, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators.

Ability to interface with customers at a strategic commercial level as well as at product development and query resolution levels.

Improving productivity through people management, improved quality, equipment capacity and maintenance.

Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by leading the plant and applying group standards.

Developing and achieving production planning systems and procedures to achieve operations excellence targets.

Driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Benchmarking nationally and internationally against best practices and implementing appropriate strategies.

Drive business growth plans.

Monitoring the supply chain activities to manage costs and efficiencies.

Financial control to achieve target results.
