POSITION INFO:

RedCat Recruitment is seeking an experienced PLANT MANAGER (MANUFACTURING / PRODUCTION) for a large concern. Position based in the Pietermaritzburg area.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Degree or Diploma in Production Management, Business Management or Operations Management.

English / Zulu speaking person.

Valid Code 08 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).

8yrs+ experience within a production or manufacturing environment.

5yrs+ experience in a management position.

Duties include production, planning (logistics, raw materials, and order entry), health and safety, quality control, administrative and financial functions.

Ensure the strategic and operational management of the operation.

Coordinate the branch departments and contractors and to optimise branch performance.

Strong financial skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Ability to reach deadlines and work in a pressurized environment.

Person must be prepared to work overtime and weekends when required.
