  POSITION INFO:
  The Role:

  Essential functions:

  • Schneider Electric Unity Pro (aka EcoStruxure Control Expert) and Modicon M580 hardware platform
  • Engineering project experience (not in a maintenance background)
  • Engineer must be able to develop PLC software application from first principal and from a Process Functional Design Specification; develop, test, commissioning.
  • Have experience in SCADA (any brand but preferably Wonderware or Citect) configuration and integration with PLCâ??s
  • Engineer must be willing to travel (local, South Africa), be away from home for maximum 14 days at a time (only when commissioning). During commissioning there is a possibility to have to work shifts (12 hrs); Morning or evening.
  • Ability to develop Configuration Documentation
  • Quality mindset and follow Quality Control Plans
  • Ability to function effectively in an individual environment, as well as part of a team of engineers.
  Skills and Experience:

  Qualification Essential Competency:

  • Matric Certificate

  Qualification preferred education:

  • Minimum T3 (Technicon Qualification) â?? Electronics, electrical or process.

  Experience required:

  • Engineers must have a minimum 5 yearsâ?? experience in PLC/SCADA project engineering (not maintenance role)

  Other:

  Work environment:

  • A combination of working inside an office environment as well site work (commissioning).

  Physical demands:

  • Bending, sitting, lifting, walking and driving

  Travel:
