SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PLC Programmer to join a dynamic engineering and automation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, programming, testing, and commissioning PLC systems within industrial and manufacturing environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both independently and within project teams.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and program PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider or similar)
- Develop and configure HMI/SCADA systems
- Perform system testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting
- Commission and maintain automation systems on-site
- Modify and upgrade existing control systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Compile technical documentation and reports
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics / Automation
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in PLC programming within an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and control panels
- Experience with VSDs, instrumentation, and industrial networks
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required
Advantageous:
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, mining, or heavy industry
- Knowledge of robotics integration
- Exposure to commissioning and project management
