SUMMARY:
Clanwilliam Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for a Production Manager to join the team.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Relevant Tertiary qualification in agriculture
At least 4 years’ experience in the cultivation of citrus
Knowledge of modern production practices
Specific knowledge/experience in irrigation practices will be to your advantage
Good leadership and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
Table Grape Production experience will be to your advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

Production

Plant citrus, schedule irrigation, apply fertilizer, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations

Personnel and administration

Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment/orchards/general)

Financial

Cost control by focusing on productivity
