Production Manager
Johannesburg

Our client requires a strategic and hands-on Production Manager to lead the production function in a food manufacturing environment. The role focuses on efficient planning, maintaining top-tier food safety compliance, achieving production KPIs, minimizing losses, and ensuring optimal use of all resources

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Degree of Diploma in Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Production or Operation Management, or related field
Minimum 15 years experience in the food manufacturing industry
At least 5 years in a Production Manager role within food manufacturing
Proven experience with SAP (production planning, materials management, reporting)
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, dashboards, data modelling)
Strong data analysis and reporting capability
Deep knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, ISO 22000 and food safety standards
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, and 5S, continuous improvement and cost reduction strategies
