SUMMARY:
Purpose of Role: Responsible for providing leadership in the operation related to strategy, people, financial outcomes and scorecard metrics.

POSITION INFO:


Key Responsibilities:
ï‚· Lead the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
ï‚· Provide guidelines and parameters for maintenance planning to achieve cost optimisation.
ï‚· Adhere to legislation and set governance and compliance policies and procedures
ï‚· Develop specific objectives for teams and oversee the performance planning and review process for the operation.
ï‚· Direct plant level support functions including finance, engineering, logistics, quality assurance, and human resources to ensure alignment with overall plant operations.
ï‚· Allocate human and equipment resources to attain established production targets.
ï‚· Oversee implementation of initiatives to reduce spoilage and improve efficiencies.
ï‚· Facilitate the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
ï‚· Oversee implementation of initiatives to reduce spoilage and improve efficiencies.
ï‚· Management of new engineering technological projects.
ï‚· Manage constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
ï‚· Communicate and consult with stakeholders on organisational changes.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Operations discipline or other related field.
Knowledge:
ï‚· Work Knowledge of best practices implementing and using continuous improvement methodologies.
ï‚· Working knowledge of broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies. Experience:
Minimum 10+ years progressive experience in a key leadership or management role at a manufacturing facility in the production or engineering field ideally in the FMCG industry space
Competencies:
ï‚· Strong understanding of budgeting or expense management, basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.
ï‚· Understanding of OHS Act, ISO systems, employment legislation, governance and risk management.
ï‚· Demonstrated strong leadership and advanced people management coaching skills.
ï‚· Demonstrate application of technical knowledge relevant for manufacturing products and processes.
ï‚· Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment.
