We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a PV Design Engineer to join a growing renewable energy environment. This opportunity offers exposure to utilityâscale Solar PV and BESS projects, focusing on energy yield modelling, plant design, and technical optimisation.

POSITION INFO:

Job & Company Description:
The PV Design Engineer will be responsible for supporting Solar PV and hybrid PVâBESS projects through energy yield modelling, concept plant design, and technical analysis.
The role includes developing conceptâlevel PV system layouts, supporting feasibility assessments, and contributing to technical due diligence activities. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure technically sound and optimised project outcomes.
Education:

Degree in Engineering (preferred)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in Solar PV engineering or renewable energy environments
Strong experience in energy yield modelling using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar
Experience in Solar PV system design and layout development
Understanding of utilityâscale PV project development processes
Knowledge of DC optimisation, inverter loading, and plant configuration
Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problemâsolving abilities
Ability to prepare technical reports and documentation
High attention to detail and accuracy
