JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a food manufacturer is recruiting a Packaging 2IC to join their Mill in Vereeniging. FMCG and Management experience is crucial.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Matric or equivalent qualification.
Previous Packing experience in the FMCG environment will be advantageous.
3 – 5 years’ relevant Packing Management experience.
Proven track record of working on packing machines (Fawema’s and Date coder’s knowledge will be advantageous).
Health & Safety (Advance OHSACT) experience.
Food Safety (FSSC 22000) experience.
Disciplinary Processes (Initiating and chairing of hearings).
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Duties and responsibilities:

Overseeing the Production process.
Ensuring that the production process is cost-effective.
Ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Managing the human and material resources needed for production
Monitoring the production process and adjusting schedules as needed.
Responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.
Monitoring product standardised implementing quality controls.
Liaising with different departments to achieve business goals.
Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.
Management of packing teams as well as motivating each to achieve business goals.
Manage Industrial Relations in the packing department.
Invocom facilitation and coaching.
Supervising staff.
Stock management and rotation.
Equipment management.
Internal relation management.
Replenishment of internal warehouses.
Adherence to FSCC regulations.
Identify, implement, and measure continuous improvement initiatives.
