Packaging Intern (12 Month Yes4Youth Learnership)

SUMMARY:
International group are seeking a Packaging Intern for a Yes4Youth 12 month learnership to support the Packaging Engineer in ensuring efficient operations and quality control within the packaging team. The packaging assistant intern will gain hands-on experience in packaging testing and analysis, exposure to working in multidisciplinary teams and problem-solving of packaging related problems.

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct quality checks on incoming packaging components and ad hoc related tasks.
2. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure packaging compliance.
3. Maintaining packaging documentation and assist in process improvements.
4. Participate in troubleshooting packaging related issues.

• Grade 12 (with mathematics and physical science – essential)
• Have completed or studying towards any technical qualification.
• Have a good understanding of the different packaging materials, processes and formats.
• Be able to operate different measuring instruments and the interpretation of data.
• Prior exposure to FMCG packaging is advantageous.
• Be able to work on multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Computer literacy - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be unemployed
• Individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 34 (South African Citizens)
