Our client in the Finance sector, based in Pretoria is currently looking to employ an experienced Partnership Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to speak and understand Afrikaans (non-negotiable).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in an Operations and Client Services environment.
  • 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry Attributes.
  • Able to travel between JHB and PTA.
  • Must have a driver's licence and own transport.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Industry including product knowledge.
  • In depth knowledge of the operations and client services environment.
  • In depth understanding of applicable legislation i.e. FAIS and FICA.
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office. xPlan (or similar) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Customer centricity – passionate about client service (both internal and external clients).
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Relationship management skills.

 

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

Client Service Support

  • Implementation and management of partner and/or client services functions (new solutions and services).
  • Take full responsibility for the implementation of administrative processes and controls in the Region.
  • Liaison between the Partners and the marketing area to ensure all communication templates being used are approved and in line with governance.

Human Resources

  • Responsible for the liaison between the Partnership Director/Executives and new candidates in obtaining onboarding documents.
  • Keeping the Partner and Partner Assistant aware of the tracking of their broker code application forms.
  • Ensuring system access is in place including liaison with Partner Services.

Operational Support

  • Responsible for the implementation and training of systems in the Region.
  • Responsible for the ongoing training on systems, thereby monitoring the use of systems in the Regions to ensure that Partners and Partner Assistants are fully trained and able to make use of the functionality provided.
  • Attend to all technology issues experienced by the Financial Planning Partner and facilitate the solution/liaison with the centers IT support desk etc.

Transition Management

  • Assist the Partner in ensuring they have access to all the required reports and documents needed to operate effectively.
  • Assist in client migration process.
  • Provide the first line of contact to Partners and Partner Assistant’s for matters relating to processes and documentation requirements, including compliance related matters.

New Business Management

  • Assist the Partner in ensuring they have access to all the required reports and documents needed to operate effectively.
  • Manage the release of commission/fees on new business/new advice transactions by checking documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy in alignment with business processes.
  • Liaison with product providers regarding commissions/fees to be paid to the Partner.

Finance Support

  • Assist the Partnership Director with expense reconciliation and with monitoring expenses in the region relevant to budget.
  • Local vendor management and Receipt of vendor invoices.
  • Scrutinizing invoices to ensure accuracy and scrutinizing statements to ensure the business is not in arrears with the account and query discrepancies with the respective vendor where required.

Marketing Support

  • Regional event organization and assistance of smaller office events - booking venues, RSVP management, event management etc.
  • Representing the business at client events where required.
  • Monitor the levels of marketing material in the region and the relevant Partner practices.
