Parts Sales (Workshop)

Our client a well established Commercial Truck Dealer is seeking the service of a Parts Sales Executive in Johannesburg.

The succesfull candidate will be responsible for:

• Issuing and ensuring availability of parts to the Workshop / Technical Department.
• Ensure operational quality and increase parts sales turnaround time, through the execution of predefined work objectives as per agreed operating standards and procedures.
• Ensure workshop production is uninterrupted due to Parts supply.
• Capture parts transactions on the accounting (Pastel) system and the original equipment manufactory system.
• Ensure fast moving parts orders are automated
• Ensure stock levels are maintained for availability purposes to be distributed to Workshop technical team.
• Pick parts accordingly, and issue to technician timeously as per job cards.
• Provide advice and report on transactional and process activities within set guidelines to provide timely information for decision making.
• Order and source parts not kept in stock once authorised
• Accurately reconcile transaction records of parts, products and accessories in order to enable verification of the validity of transactions.
• Resolve workshop complaints, ensuring problems are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and report on trends and anomalies in respect of parts, products and accessory consumption and make recommendations for improvement.
• Contribute to a pro-active working environment.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Workshop parts sales.
• Pastel Software experience is essential, must be highly profficient
• Microsoft Excel experience is essential, must be profficient
• Excellent Truck Part knowledge
• Strong technical aptitude
• Must be Meticulous, neat and highly organised
• Must have strong Administrative skills
• Identify and solve problems or challenges
• The ability to identify automotive (Truck) parts and knowledge of automotive parts and accessories
• Proficient knowledge about the structure and basic operations of Trucks and components
• Displays a clear understanding of the process and procedures involved in sales administration.
• Applies elementary concepts of knowledge / skill to develop activities assigned under supervision
• Sound knowledge of production
