A leading organization within the investments and financial services sector, known for its commitment to compliance and operational excellence, is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to support critical payroll processes amidst ongoing business growth. This strategic role offers the opportunity to influence payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency at a senior level. Where You'll Make an Impact: Manage end-to-end processing of monthly payrolls using Sage 300 People, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Conduct detailed payroll reconciliations, cross-validations, and resolve discrepancies. Support month-end and year-end statutory processes including EMP201 and EMP501 submissions. Analyse payroll, benefit, and reward data to identify anomalies, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain payroll reports, dashboards, and management information for informed decision-making. Provide insights through variance analysis to support payroll and reward strategies. Assist with remuneration benchmarking, annual increases, bonuses, and share vesting cycles. Support compliance with legislation such as PAYE, UIF, and SDL, and facilitate internal and external audit processes. Monitor data integrity within payroll and HR systems, identifying root causes of issues and recommending solutions. Drive process improvements, including automation opportunities, to enhance payroll efficiency. Respond proactively to payroll queries, collaborating with People, Finance, and IT stakeholders. Duties: Execute payroll processing and reconciliation. Support statutory reporting and compliance. Analyse data and generate reports for management. Assist with remuneration and reward cycle activities. Support audit and system testing activities. Improve payroll processes through automation and data integrity monitoring. Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum NQF Level 6). 5+ years of relevant payroll experience. Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and regulations. Experience with benefit funds such as medical aid and retirement funds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially intermediate Excel skills. Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities. Support-oriented with excellent stakeholder collaboration skills. Familiarity with the following: Sage 300 People or similar payroll systems. Payroll compliance and statutory submissions.
