Manage and oversee the payroll department, ensuring all responsibilities are carried out accurately

POSITION INFO:

My client, based in the CBD, is looking for an experienced payroll manager to join their team. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop within your area of expertise, then this company is the place to be. Manage a fair-sized team and handle a national and international payroll. This role requires the experience of someone who has around eight years in payroll and around five of those years in a Management. Join this well-known dynamic organisation and become an integral part of the organisation. Below are some of the responsibilities regarding this role:

Responsibilities:

Manage the Supervisor and team to ensure all responsibilities are carried out accurately and on time
Oversee and check the Directors and non-executive directors'' payrolls
Sign off all month-to-month payroll comparison and exception reports
Agree final monthly payroll close-off dates based on input volumes and checking
Give the go-ahead for the payroll to run and/or open for next pay run
Ensure monthly and weekly payrolls processed timeously and accurately
Document and analyse all payroll processes with the intention of automating as much as possible
Deal with Professional Services companies in all African countries regarding pay rules and statutory submissions

Requirements:

BComm Degree
Team Management experience essential
A good understanding of the BCEA and an added advantage would be to understand Sectorial Determination 9
Computer literate (MS Office Suite), excellent excel skills and knowledge of the Oracle HR and payroll system or its equivalent essential
