Permanent GP position – Krugersdorp

We have a permanent position available for a General Practitioner at an established Medical Centre in Krugersdorp. They offer primary health care, occupational health care, HIV management, wellness days, dentistry, optometry, and x-ray services. The positions will be a 3-6 months locum contract thereafter a permanent contract will be offered should both parties wish to continue.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Patient consultations and physical examinations
• Diagnosis and treatment of health conditions
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals and/or hospitals
• Practice management and administration
• Small Procedures
• Business management skills
• Recognise symptoms of serious conditions and refer patients to specialists for further testing and treatment if needed
• Delegate tasks to nurses and/or other healthcare assistants
• Manage emergency care
• All relevant duties as per your scope of Practice.

Requirement:

• MB ChB or equivalent qualification
• Registered as a health practitioner with the HPCSA
• Practice number will be an advantage
• Have a minimum of 2 years of primary healthcare exposure
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work long hours, often under pressure.

Medical Centre Operational hours:

Hours will be discussed as the doctor’s is scheduled on a monthly basis.

• Monday to Friday 07H00 till 17H00
• Saturdays 08H00 till 13H00
• Sundays 08H00 till 13H00

Remuneration:

Will be discussed by our client during your interview.
