Planner

SUMMARY:
Our Client based in Kempton Park is looking for Planner with at least 2 years relevant experience in an operational environment. Required to Plan the on time delivery of components, entering works and purchase orders, scheduling, expediting and conducting stock counts.

POSITION INFO:

JOB PURPOSE

• Planning the on time delivery of components, entering works and purchase orders, scheduling, expediting and conducting stock counts.

JOB FUNCTION

• Sales order is checked against lead time list to ensure delivery is possible as per company procedure
• Information from drawing office is checked to ensure that it is correct as per purchase order
• Purchase orders are entered as per request and purchase order queries are attended to as they occur
• Late Delivery Notes/Late Orders are loaded on JDE for late jobs or early jobs when necessary
• Works orders are loaded and maintained as per request
• Delivery notes and invoices are generated and given to operations for all sales orders
• Sales department is communicated with regarding progress on sales orders and to check progress for all sales
• orders
• Stock takes for the product range are conducted daily/monthly and stock is physically checked to verify cycle
• counts when necessary
• Reorder levels are monitored and maintained to ensure the availability of material and obsolete stock is
• identified quarterly
• Planning reports are run weekly to ensure that all shortages get ordered and sales orders are monitored to
• ensure that customer delivery dates are met
• Assembly job files are prepared for every job and schedules for assembly (production areas) are compiled
• daily/weekly and monthly
• Operations tracking register is updated continuously to ensure that all information is up to date
• Quality issues are monitored and issues communicated to relevant person as soon as quality issue is
• identified
• Procurement Officer is contacted to communicate purchase order requirements with suppliers
• Confirmation of order receipt to ensure that requested dates can be met
• Supplier issues are reported to the Procurement Manager when they occur

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12
• Supply chain management certificate/Diploma in Procurement/Planning
• 2 year relevant experience in an operational environment
• Follows up, initiates action, quality orientated, good planning and organising skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and JDE
