SUMMARY:
Our client in the Public Sector has an EE opportunity available for a Planning and Facilitation Specialist in the Johannesburg area. This will be a contract position for 3 months.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant built environment field (i.e. Urban Planning, Development Planning or Property Economics) or related NQF Level 7
Honours Degree in relevant built environment field i.e. Urban Planning, Development Planning or Property Economics (NQF Level 8) would be advantageous
Driver’s License code EB/08
SACPLAN Professional Registration would be advantageous
Knowledge in Urban Planning and Development processes
Knowledge of the legal environment, including supply chain management, MFMA and Construction Contract regulations
Knowledge in spatial planning policies
Knowledge of Local Government legal and process framework
Knowledge of Land Use Management
Knowledge in Geographic Information Systems
3 to 5 years experience in urban planning

KPAs:

Conceptualise and prepare projects for implementation in consultation with line manager and Executive Manager
Formulate development and project plans for implementation and clearly define project cycle and results chain (outputs/ outcomes/ impact/ interventions)
Identify and engage with internal and external stakeholders to co-create solutions with in a particular area
Development of spatial plans
People management
