Planning and Procurement Inventory Controller

SUMMARY:
Our leading client in the pharmaceutical space is looking to hire an experienced Planning and Procurement Inventory Controller. The successful incumbent will be responsible for systemic data accuracy, allowing planning and procurement to make accurate decisions. This position will involve off-site visits to third-party contract manufacturers and ensure correct inventory levels are maintained.

POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have a minimum of + 5 years Planning and Procurement Inventory Controller experience.
• Must have good knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and implementation of internal controls.
• Must be experienced with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems is essential.
• Must have good computer skills (Sage / Xperdyte system are essential)

Duties include:

• Ensure third parties adhere to SOPs, SLAs, and best logistics practices.
• Maintain the inventory accuracy of internal and external warehouses.
• Adherence to Health & Safety regulations as depicted in the Health & Safety Act.
• To maintain good housekeeping within the warehouses.
• Work with external counterparts
• Assisting in the movement of inventory between warehouse locations and 3rd party manufacturers.
• To receive inventory on behalf of the company, through completing procedures related thereto.
• Assisting in the correction of GRV discrepancies.
• Ensuring that all inventory is stored in a safe.
• Control perpetual inventory counting, accuracy checks, and annual physical inventory counts on the floor.
• Report any inventory variances as and when encountered.
• Update and modify the Sage / Xpedite system to reflect actual inventory levels through the organisation.
• Investigate discrepancies and shortages to minimise overstocks and remove redundant and obsolete raw materials.
• Ensures inward products are received and managed according to the company’s standard procedure.
• Create daily reports to control the key critical areas of the inventory system and address any discrepancy.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification – Degree in Safety Management or any related qualification.
