Plant and Yard Manager – Cape Town

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Plant and Yard Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and efficient operation of its plant and yard facilities.

About the Role

• Manage and coordinate all plant and yard operations, ensuring equipment and materials are available and maintained for project needs.
• Oversee the scheduling, allocation, and utilization of construction equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Supervise yard staff and contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory, procurement, and logistics to support ongoing projects.
• Report regularly to senior management on plant performance, costs, and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Plant and Yard Manager or in a similar role within construction or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of plant equipment, maintenance practices, and yard operations.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Based in Cape Town, with flexibility to support multiple projects.
