Plant Quality Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a reputable national Automotive manufacturing company, seeks to employ a dynamic, professionally qualified Plant Quality Manager to drive the Plant Quality Strategy and manage Quality Management Systems and Processes in order to achieve Plant specific objectives and meet customer specific requirements.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• SHE:Application of safety, health and environment practices and legal requirements in the work environment
• Financial Management: Provide input into budgets, CAPEX requests, adhere to Financial Policies and procedures; promote good Corporate Governance
• Customer Relations: Manage relationships with internal/external customers, comply with CSR''s
• Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with key suppliers
• Quality Strategy: Develop the Total Quality Strategic Plan and ensure implementation for the Plant
• Quality Management: Manage requirements related to Quality and other standards (IATF 16949:2016’ISO 9001:2015 & VDA 6.3:2016)
• Quality Assurance: Contribute to and improve on the operation of the Quality Assurance system and manage and implement the Quality Assurance system
• Audits: Co-ordinate and facilitate customer audits of the product and product capability; Conduct internal System audits 1^st Tier IATF 16949:2016 and Process audits, 1^st Tier, VDA 6.3:2016
• Supply Quality Assurance: Specify Supplier Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL''s) (Tolerances, Drawing requirements, Tooling, PPM''s, etc.); Analyse Supplier Performance (Product Quality, Special Status, etc.) and make recommendations
• Quality Control: Establish and manage Critical Control Points in the Process
• Advanced Product Quality Planning: Approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) prior to Customer submission; Review Quality Risks of APQP activities
• People Managment: Manage individual, team and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma Quality Management or Engineering
• At least 5 years'' experience at a Senior level in Quality Management within an Automotive manufacturing environment
• Trained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949:2016 & VDA 6.3:2016
• Must have a solid Automotive Manufacturing experience/background
• Proven experience in OEM customer liaisons
• Working knowledge and experience in Quality Standards – IATF16949
• Projects - must have managed the run out/run in of new models
• In terms of the company''s Employment Equity requirements, Equity candidates will be preferred
