Looking for a Platform Engineer with over 6 years of experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications sectors for a 6 to 12 months Contract position in Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in Information Technology and Telecommunications sectors, with a focus on platform engineering.

Duties and responsibilities:

Designing, developing, and maintaining platform solutions
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Ensuring the scalability and performance of the platform
Troubleshooting and resolving platform issues
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Kubernetes optimisation
Autoscaling configuration
Performance tuning
Resource optimisation
Container governance

Deliverables:

Cluster optimisation plan
Autoscaling configuration model
Platform stability assessment
