Job Description Portfolio Manager – Insurance Location: Sandton Employment Type: Permanent Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to manage and grow an existing client portfolio while identifying and securing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will build strong client and broker relationships, provide commercially sound insurance solutions and work closely with internal teams to deliver on portfolio and business targets. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow an existing portfolio of clients and identify cross-selling opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and key stakeholders. Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities. Engage with senior stakeholders, including Financial Managers, Financial Directors and Risk Managers. Analyse financial statements, budgets, actuarial information and portfolio data. Participate in renewals, pricing discussions and the development of insurance solutions. Coordinate with Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial and Claims teams. Monitor budgets, forecasts, renewals and new business targets. Prepare regular portfolio, prospect and management reports. Ensure accurate client documentation and compliance with internal processes. Resolve client queries and manage delivery against key deadlines. Requirements B.Com degree or relevant qualification. 4–6 years' experience in insurance and\/or general business. Strong knowledge of the insurance industry. Strong financial and commercial acumen. Proficiency in Microsoft Office . FAIS compliant – advantageous. Project management experience – advantageous. Key Competencies Analytical and detail-oriented.
