Pr Eng Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pr Eng Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a professional registration with the Engineering Council and have a strong background in mechanical engineering principles, design, and project management.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop, design, and implement mechanical systems and components in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including stress analysis, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials selection.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Perform site inspections, quality assurance, and compliance checks to ensure that projects meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and engineering teams.
• Participate in risk assessments, failure mode analysis, and the development of mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in mechanical engineering, including new technologies, tools, and industry trends.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies for potential projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering codes, standards, and regulations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional registration as a Pr Eng (Professional Engineer) with the Engineering Council.
• Minimum years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably.
• Proficient in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS) and project management tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and material science.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges.
• Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ASME, ISO, and other relevant codes.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative on complex tasks and projects.
