Purpose Of The Job:
 
Our client a well-established passenger vehicle dealership is seeking an experienced and driven Pre-Owned Car Sales Manager to lead its used vehicle sales department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales team, driving profitability, overseeing stock management, and ensuring exceptional customer service while achieving dealership sales targets.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Manage the daily operations of the Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Department Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve sales targets Drive departmental profitability and maximise gross profit Manage used vehicle stock, pricing, ageing, and vehicle sourcing Monitor sales performance and prepare regular management reports Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process Work closely with the F&I department to maximise finance and insurance opportunities Ensure all dealership policies and manufacturer standards are followed Assist with resolving customer queries and handling escalated complaints Recruit, coach, and mentor sales staff where required Monitor market trends and competitor activity to remain competitive Maintain accurate sales records and departmental administration Requirements: Matric (Grade 12) Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Pre-Owned Car Sales Manager within a franchised passenger vehicle dealership Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets Strong leadership and people management skills Experience in used vehicle stock management and vehicle sourcing Sound knowledge of vehicle finance, F&I processes, and dealership operations Computer literate with experience using a dealer management system Valid driver's licence Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills Stable employment record with contactable references Key Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills Sales and target-driven Excellent negotiation and closing abilities Strong business and commercial acumen Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills Good planning and organisational skills High level of professionalism and integrity Ability to perform well under pressure Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
