JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the automotive industry is seeking an experienced Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to join their team in Pretoria North, Gauteng. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years franchised dealer experience, matric certificate and a stable track record.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Experienced Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager

Salary: Basic (plus Commission, Company Vehicle and Benefits)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • The individual we are looking to employ MUST meet the minimum requirements and under no circumstances will exceptions be made.
  • Must read / write & speak English
  • Must be computer literate
  • Clean Cut and well groomed
  • Stable track record / Senior Certificate / Min of 10 years’ experience
  • The Successful candidate must be very stable – Not moving to another dealer every year.
  • The successful candidate will be required to achieve daily and monthly sales (25 – 30 new units per month) and sales activity targets, attend training, and attend functions with both the company and the manufacturer.
  • Must be ambitious, energetic and determined to succeed.
  • The candidate must be honest / reliable and transparent
  • The candidate must not only be a manager but better a leader
  • Minimum 10 years franchised dealer experience

Duties include but not limited to:
  • Managing the sales team of 6-8 sales executives closing a min of 25 – 30 deals per month.
  • Budgets.
  • Floor Plan.
  • The purpose of this position is ensuring that the Department maximizes gross profit and unit sales, Rand sales and 2nd gross targets are met.
  • Ensuring that the Department maximizes gross profit and ensures unit sales, Rand sales and 2nd gross targets are met.
  • Working closely with the F&I Manager to ensure that all financial and insurance requirements are adhered to.
  • Stock and Asset Management - ensuring that stock and cash is managed accordingly.
  • Communicating all procedural requirements to Department personnel and ensuring implementation thereof.
  • Ensuring that required reports are forwarded timeously.
  • Meeting with all staff at least three times a week to discuss the following:
  • - Month end results.
  • - Local marketing activities.
  • - Business opportunities.
  • - Weaknesses and ways to counter them.
  • Ensuring that all F&I administrative functions and compliance are efficiently carried out by department personnel.
  • Ensuring that all department staff are trained on internal courses as well as on the job training to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Carrying out performance appraisals as required.
  • Help develop a culture for professional collaboration, team building, consensus building, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of the area’s most spoken languages an advantage.
