A leading franchised dealership is seeking an experienced Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager to lead and grow a successful used vehicle operation while ensuring compliance with dealership and OEM standards.

The Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales Manager drives the sales team to meet targets and KPIs while upholding brand and group standards. This role requires a positive, hands-on leader who can motivate and develop a successful team, achieving sales targets and KPIs for the pre-owned sales department within set guidelines.

Remuneration:
Market related dependant on experience plus performance-based Incentive – Benefits include Provident Fund, Company Vehicle and Fuel.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include managing & overseeing : Sales - Develop and implement effective sales plans to stay ahead of competitors to ensure increased market share and pre-owned sales and profitability (1st & 2nd Gross) as per shareholders and manufacturer requirements. Marketing - Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for increased customer interaction. Leadership - Create a team culture where customer experience and excellence is a focus. Motivate, lead, coach the sales team to exceed goals and targets. Customer Care - Build and maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring exceptional service delivery throughout the sales journey, resulting in high customer retention and satisfaction levels. Pre-Owned Stock Management - Manage stock procurement, pricing, vehicle appraisals, stock ageing, and inventory turn to optimise profitability and support overall dealership objectives.. Performance Management - Coach team where necessary by providing constructive feedback and mutual productivity plans for effective performance. Continue to drive improvement in all aspects of the sales environment. Financial Management - Manage total financial and budgeting aspects of the department (Forecasting, OEM, Floorplan, Expenses, Stock holding) OEM Compliance - Ensure all sales processes, reporting requirements, customer satisfaction measures, and operational standards are aligned with manufacturer and dealership policies. Requirements: Must have min Automotive Sales Management experience of 6 years+ at a franchise dealership Experience within a high-volume brand Pre-owned sales experience and residual value knowledge Strong management and leadership skills Ambitious, Self and Target Driven Leads Management Strong communication and interpersonal skills Result Driven Marketing knowledge Strong understanding of OEM sales standards, dealership operations, and performance reporting. Demonstrated ability to lead a successful sales team and consistently achieve sales and profitability targets. Excellent negotiation, communication, planning, and relationship-building skills. Strong commercial awareness with a focus on profitability, customer retention, and operational excellence.
