POSITION INFO:
Step into the world of high-impact investments. Our client is a market leader in non-performing debt acquisitions across South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana. They partner with major players in banking, retail, telecoms, and services to unlock value where others see risk.

As an Actuarial Analyst, you’ll be right at the heart of the action – building models, pricing complex portfolios, and delivering insights that drive strategy at a boardroom level. This is a role for an analytically sharp, commercially curious, and bold thinker who wants to see their work directly influence investment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct portfolio valuations and pricing analysis of non-performing debt portfolios.
Build and maintain financial models using DCF, machine learning, Markov-chain models, and runoff triangles.
Perform sensitivity testing and develop proxy portfolios to measure risks and returns.
Design valuation scorecards and drive automation of pricing processes.
Analyse large datasets to extract KPIs that inform investment strategy.
Collaborate with investment executives to deliver pricing recommendations.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
3+ years’ experience in financial modelling, valuation, or credit risk analysis.
Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Python.
Background in valuation, credit risk analytics, and data analysis.
Commercial mindset with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
