SUMMARY:
Pricing Director
We are looking for a dynamic Pricing Director to join an esteemed international manufacturing company based in Johannesburg. The Pricing Director will lead strategic pricing efforts across all product lines, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, and finance.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Engineering.
Advantageous: MBA or other relevant Post Graduate Qualification.
A minimum of 10 years of pricing experience.
5+ years’ experience within a with at leadership capacity.
Comprehensive knowledge spanning technology, software solutions, and engineered products.

Technical Recruitments:

Proficiency in SQL.
Software as a Service (SaaS) pricing models.
Understand and working knowledge of the Delegation of Authorities (DOA).

Duties and responsibilities:

Apply extensive pricing expertise, backed by a solid background in strategic planning and a proven track record in financial and data analysis.
Develop and execute pricing strategies that are in harmony with the organization's overarching goals.
Enhance revenue and profitability through the skillful implementation of pricing strategies.
Delve deep into market research and analysis to uncover opportunities and fine-tune pricing structures.
Keep a vigilant eye on competitor actions, making data-backed adjustments to pricing strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
Precisely manage price adjustments and promotional initiatives, ensuring timeliness in their execution.
Forge close collaborations with cross-functional teams to facilitate the successful introduction of new products, services, and pricing models.
Supervise the creation and maintenance of pricing databases.
Analyse customer purchasing patterns and market trends to guide pricing decisions.
Prepare comprehensive reports that delineate the impact of pricing strategies on sales and overall profitability.
Offer guidance and training to team members in the realm of pricing concepts and best practices.
Conduct regular price audits to uphold competitiveness and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
Stay attuned to industry trends and actively participate in relevant events.
Assume the role of the organization's foremost pricing expert.
