JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, an elite private primary school based in Johannesburg has an opportunity available for a Principal to join and lead their school. We are looking for an experienced Principal to execute the school’s strategy by providing leadership and guidance to the academic and support staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification

Complete degree in education
Post graduate degrees or diplomas are beneficial
SACE registration

Skills and experience required:

Applicants must have a successful schooling background at a Principal / Executive Head level
Applicants must have an impressive matric result track record
Strong people management and leadership experience is required
We are looking for a candidate with strong business and financial acumen who has the ability to manage the business side of this school
Experience in a private Primary School at a Principal level

Job description:

Lead the school in prayer
Achieve academic strategy and targets
Analyse and respond to all academic and school issues
Oversees the academic policies and procedures for all staff and ensure continuous improvement of these policies and procedures
Manage, develop and mentor all staff members
Develop and maintain the school vision
Responsible for the wellbeing, health and safety of students, staff, parents and visitors while at the school
Develop strategies for growth
Prepare and maintain budgets
Prepare reports for shareholders
Ensure maximum profitability is achieved
Maintain customer service to ensure customer retention
Oversee full finance management function for the school
Manage cashflow and expenditure
Reporting on profit and loss
Recruitment and selection of academic staff
Host parent meetings
Maintain an excellent reputation for the brand and manage marketing activities
Maintain world class facilities and stay up to date with advancements in the education space.
