SUMMARY:
ACUDEO College Schools are Christian faith-based schools, founded with the intent of bringing quality private education to areas where this previously was limited or inaccessible. In our schools we strive for academic excellence paired with the all-round development of the learner. Our education approach is deeply anchored in the use of educational technologies in order to provide our learners with the best resources of learning, as possible. We rely strongly on a partnership approach with our parent body and the immediate community of the school. Our school leaders need to be able to embrace these challenges together with the mandate to grow our fairly young schools into the preferred school of choice in the communities we serve. In our young school in Crystal Park, Benoni we are now seeking the services of a strong, energetic, and respected individual to take up the role of Principal. We are looking for someone who exudes enthusiasm for growing the school, have the relationship-building competencies to fuse a strong management team and who is regarded with a great deal of respect amongst peers, parents and learners. This individual will show a special leaning towards owning and being the face of the school, together with the determination to overcome whatever obstacles may arise in the progress of the school.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate must:
·         have the suitable educational qualifications and track record in school leadership;
·         be up to date with the latest developments in the education industry, including very specifically the use of technology;
·         understand the educational environment and regulatory dynamics in the South African context;
·         have shown him/herself adept in introducing new strategies or approaches in schools and managing change successfully;
·         excel in verbal and written communication;
·         be emotionally mature and intelligent in order to handle diverse personalities and mold them together in cohesive teams;
·         show unbridled passion and enthusiasm for the school and its stakeholders;
·         show a high level of visionary and inspirational qualities;
·         display strong capabilities in the basic principles of management, including basic financial acumen;
·         be loved and respected as a leader that grows others.


Qualifications:
·         Minimum – Bachelors Degree in Education
·         Post Graduate Qualification preferable;


Knowledge/Experience, skills and competencies:
·         Minimum 10 years teaching experience of which at least 5 would have been spent at senior management level in schools;
·         Knowledge of CAPS as a minimum, but knowing other curricula will be advantageous;
·         SACE registered;
·         Computer literate, with specific interest in leveraging educational technology (EdTech);
·         Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, or management of curriculum, instructional practices, and professional teacher development;
·         Tenacity, determination and innovation to overcome significant challenges encountered;
·         Strong in project management, keeping to milestones and achieving set outcomes;
·         Strong sense of ownership and accountability, without pointing fingers.
