JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Private Equity Analyst/ Associate. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter with deep understanding of finance and strategic management and an ability to apply themselves in complex business environments at a senior level.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements;
The following are minimum requirements for candidates to be considered:

2 - 3 years within the private equity space
Financial tertiary qualification
Strong financial modelling skill

Key considerations and experience
Experience in any of the following industries are a key consideration:

Transacting and/or deal making background
Transaction advisory services
Leverage finance
Corporate finance
Mergers & acquisitions
Deal advisory
Management consulting

Key duties;

Market opportunity review and analysis
Participation in deal origination activities
Deal screening for new opportunities and ability to make recommendations to the team
Financial analysis and financial modelling for new investments
Valuation of potential investments and existing portfolio companies
Assist with management of deal processes and communication with counterparties in deal execution
Performance and management of due diligence investigations
Preparation of investment memoranda for presentation to investment committee
Provide structuring and negotiation support during construction of deals
Involvement in negotiation and conclusion of legal agreements
Participation in the investment decision structures of the firm
Portfolio company performance monitoring and assistance with implementation of their growth strategies
Representation of the company on portfolio company boards
