Our client, a leader in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join their operations in Saudi Arabia. You'll apply your technical expertise to drive process optimization, enhance operational safety, and collaborate with international specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed process studies and develop engineering design modifications to improve operational performance.
- Create and validate plant mass balances to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Identify and implement process optimization initiatives.
- Perform process simulations using HYSYS and Promax.
- Provide technical guidance to both local and international design contractors.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and enhance operational performance.
- Apply knowledge of metering systems and process safety (e.g., HAZOP studies, risk assessments).
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
- Monitor construction progress and recommend design modifications as necessary.
- Lead engineering teams during plant shutdowns and start-ups.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to solve complex technical challenges.
- Assist in developing technical specifications for engineering materials and equipment.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
Experience:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in refining, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in HYSYS, Promax, and process simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of API, ISO, ASME standards.
- Experienced in metering systems and process safety procedures.
Key Skills:
- Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership experience in plant shutdowns and start-ups.
- Proven capability in cost estimation and engineering design.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
