Process Engineer

SUMMARY:
Production Engineer/ Industrial Engineer with experience in the Food Processing environment(Chemical food processing will be advantageous). Large international company has an excellent opportunity for an engineer that wants to grow within the chemical food industry in there Processing Engineering department where you will be responsible for investigations and identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiencies and plant output,collaborate with Production team members and technical teams to provide technical support to production plant.
B.Eng Industrial/ Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent.
5 years process in FMCG manufacturing ENVIRONMENT  ESSENTIAL
LEAN Manufacturing, 6 Sigma
Expert knowledge of all plant processes
Ideal candidate should have experience in Fermentation, baking, brewing or any related food chemical environment

POSITION INFO:
Analyse current processes and identify opportunities to reduce cost, increase yield, minimize waste, or improve cycle time.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or statistical methods to drive continuous improvement.
Use data from control systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS) to improve performance hooting & Technical Support
Conduct Mass and Energy balances around: Water, Steam, Electrical, Molasses and Yeast and other on request streams through the plant
analyse information to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies benchmark against group’s plants
Develop, design, and modify processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Create and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Projects identified at Weekly Production Meeting / Quality Meeting
Participate and lead HAZOP and HACCP studies
Use Modprop to document projects
Ensure all documentation provided / updated at completion of project
Ensure all relevant plant personnel trained in new process following project change
