Process Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to optimize terminal performance through advanced simulation modelling, operational analysis, performance standard development, energy management oversight, strategic improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable operational excellence. We have a permanent role in  Richards Bay.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements/ Responsibilities
- Simulation model operation and real-time planning development;
- Terminal performance monitoring and bottleneck elimination;
- Operational philosophy and performance standards development;
- Energy Management reporting;
- Strategic improvement initiatives;
- SHE and administrative compliance.

Minimum Requirements
- BSc/BTech Industrial/Mechanical Engineering; post-graduate qualification in Planning or Logistics (advantageous);
- 5-10 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering or Bulk Logistics environments; minimum 5 years proven experience in Terminal Simulation Systems; exposure to ISO 9001 and/or ISO 50001 (advantageous).

Skills
- Advanced experience with simulation systems (G2 programming advantageous)
- Strong capability in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Business Process mapping;
- Lean six sigma Greenbelt certification (advantageous); data analytics tool proficiency (e.g. Minitab, Power BI); Strong Ms Office skills (Ms Access advantageous);
- Excellent analytical; reporting and documentation skills; strong written, verbal and presentation communication;
- Driver’s licence.
