SUMMARY:
Process Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Sets and updates all the standards and documentation of the Process Engineering discipline. These include standards for
Project execution procedure
Block diagrams and P&ID’s
Investigation, design and evaluation reports
Hazop study checklists
Plant Modification procedure
Process descriptions
Hot and Live commissioning procedure
Initial technical investigation and problem solving.
Consult with production and maintenance personnel.
Responsible for process audits
Responsible for feasibility studies
Process design including modification specifications and control philosophy.
Mass and energy balances
Compare process with environmental standards/regulations
Determines if a full HAZOP study is required
Monitor daily performance of the plant.
Long term trouble shooting
Align process engineering vision with that of production departments.
Develop Strategic plans on water supply and environmental compliance with legislation.
Assists with the compilation of the capex budget strategy
Responsible for performance, work allocation and career development of subordinates
Responsible for compiling of budget and costs in the section
Promote adhere and implement systems relating to safety, health, environment and quality which include ISO 9002, 1400 AND CAP

REQUIREMENTS:

Chemical Engineering degree/ National Diploma
Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing/Process environment
