Process Engineer / Manager - Water and Wastewater Process Engineering Equipment

SUMMARY:
A well-known International Process Equipment Company requires the above to interact with customers, overseeing commissioning, reviewing tenders, handling and trouble-shooting on designs and equipment with clients

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary qualification in either Chemical Engineering and or Civil Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy or Mining Processing or related qualification is essential.
• Previous experience having worked within a Processing Engineering and or Manager Role within the Water and Waste Water Process industries is pref.
• Previous experience and or a good understanding in the areas of Solid Liquid Separation test work and Sizing is preferred.
• The candidate must have an outgoing and confident personality as they will be dealing with customers on an ongoing basis.
• The candidate must be able to read Drawings, do PFD’s and PID’s working on Excel with sizing of equipment on VBA. Excel must be advanced.
• The candidate must have advanced excel skills being able to utilise visual basic programmes - drop down menus etc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• The successful candidate will interact with customers, overseeing commissions, reviewing tenders, handling and troubleshooting on querying specs with clients,  
• The candidate will be responsible for sizing various equipment, researching and developing new products/equipment, presenting technical presentations to clients as well as providing technical support to clients both locally and internationally.
• Overseeing and driving the water and waste water markets customising equipment for Local and Africa markets.
• They will be responsible for developing new business as well as managing, driving and overseeing all the commissioning, customising drawings, presenting tenders, assisting and overseeing the installation of the equipment on site at customers both Locally and Internationally.
• Managing day-to-day operational aspects of various projects and scope.
• Leading proposal efforts including completing Project scoping and costing.
• Facilitating team and client meetings effectively, delivering engaging, informative and well-organised presentations.
• Managing day-to-day client interaction and sets and manages client expectations.
• Suggesting areas for improvement in Internal Processes along with possible solutions.
