POSITION INFO:

Our client currently has an opportunity for a Process Engineer to be responsible for process engineering and discipline project design activities relating to concept, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, R&D, EPCM and EPC projects.

Main functions include (but are not limited to): Design Engineering, Technical Support, Site Support, Commissioning, Reporting and Documentation.

Position details:

Engineering
Ensure continuous improvement, lessons learnt, value engineering, fit for purpose and latest technologies are implemented.
With supervision provide discipline designs in accordance with client standards and specifications, industry standards and the relevant legislation (quality of design).
Ensure (certified) design information received from vendors, contractors and consultants is relevant and accurate.
Manage the mark-up and back draughting of redline drawings.
Assist with process adjudications by compiling adjudication sheets with Project Engineer’s inputs.
Provide input on cost for R&D related equipment and/or projects.
Provide design interface between disciplines including vendors and external entities.
Provide process inputs for studies and proposals in accordance with all process deliverables.
Provide engineering support to the site team.
Ensure the effective (peer) review and approval of process designs.
Demonstrate good analytical assessment and the ability to investigate problems, provide solutions and report on that.

Operational
Provide input into all SHE matters from a process engineering perspective, actively participate and promote a total safety culture.
Provide a high level of quality process deliverables accurately and timeously.
Manage the time schedule, quality, risk and scope of process deliverables and activities within the larger project or study.
Display effective management of time.
Produce reports that are structured, accurate, complete and well presented.
Proactively communicate with the project team with the appropriate and timeous process and other related information and deliverables - verbally and written.
Assist with the process related commissioning activities of the project.
Ensure that the installation is in accordance with the project & vendor specifications provide for the expected process functionality.
Provide commissioning services.
Develop and test R&D related equipment and/or projects.

Client Relations
Ensure that all interactions with clients are conducted in professional and respectful manner.
Communicate with external and internal clients on the status of the project technical aspects.
Liaise and co-ordinate with the client''s discipline engineers to ensure adherence to project and client requirements and specifications.
Develop and follow up on leads through personal networks and client interaction.
