Process Quality Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a Global FMCG company, currently seeks a Process Quality Manager, who will be responsible and accountable for the quality within the site and to implement Cluster initiatives in line with the Regional QSHE and COE strategic initiatives.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Science Degree.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical/Consumer Applicable food processing technology expertise and statistical process experience.
• Qualified in Food Chemistry, Sensory, Microbiology, food packaging system and food engineering.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
• Problem solving and complaint resolution.

Main Job Functions:

• Provide support to the QHSE COE and technology cluster to ensure all directives, policies and initiates are effectively incorporated at plant level.
• Direct site food safety and quality initiatives.
• Ensure food safety and quality of products.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality policies, standards, procedures and work instructions.
• Responsible for quality talent management, development programs, objectives and performance appraisals.
• Supervise and co-ordinate all laboratory testing.
• Implement quality objectives in line with the COE programs.
• Implement KPIs, targets, Quality Improvement Programs and guidelines.
• Communicate process capability to Commercialisation team.
• Supervise product scale up process with RD&A.
• Provide ongoing guidance, supervision and vision to support comprehensive quality and foods safety programs - ensuring continuity of business according to the company, customer and regulatory expectations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Continually evaluate and trend process controls, food safety and quality programs.
• Manage consumer complaints troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage quality and food safety issues in line with clusters communication and escalation of protocols to enable appropriate level of decision making.
• Maintain and active list suppliers used by the site and engage Regional Supply Quality for audits and supporting document

Competencies:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximising the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• High level of stress tolerance.
• Motivating, developing and directing staff.
• Resource allocation, HR, leadership technique.
• Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances and the chemical processes and transformation that they undergo.  This includes using chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques and disposal methods.
• Communication - written and oral/ability to communicate complex ideas concisely.
• Excellent report writing and computer skills.
• Analytical and interpretation skills.
