POSITION INFO:
PROCESSING SPECIALIST A well known packaging manufactuirng company based in JHB East is seeking for a Processing Specialist reporting to the Plant Manager. Key Responsibilities Continuously improve mould efficiencies by reducing setup and cycle times. Process and optimise material handling and processing techniques. Work closely with the Maintenance Department on the mould maintenance programme. Collaborate with Shift Teams and Team Leaders to ensure optimal production performance. Ensure machinery and moulds are effectively maintained, serviced and stored. Conduct mould and material trials as required. Ensure the production of high-quality products in line with company standards. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety. Manage injection moulds to maximise efficiency and longevity. Support Research and Development initiatives. Assist with the maintenance of injection moulding machinery and moulds. Attend to machine breakdowns and call-outs when required. Training and development of setters Minimum Requirements and Competencies To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) and at least a National Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering qualification is essential Mechanical background is essential. Extensive experience in advanced plastic processing within an injection moulding environment. Proven experience in maintenance management. Experience in Polymer Technology, including extruders and injection moulds. Injection moulding machine setting experience is essential. Willingness to work shifts when operationally required. Sound knowledge of ISO procedures. Methodical approach to problem-solving. Positive attitude with high levels of enthusiasm and self-motivation. Strong logical and analytical thinking ability. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all organisational levels. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
