JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, a pharmaceutical manufacturer, currently seeks an experienced Procurement Assistant, who will report directly to the Production Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Person:

Degree or Diploma is essential.
Min 2 to 3 years experience within procurement, with a focus on sourcing raw materials and packaging.
Manufacturing experience gained within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
SAP essential.

The Job:

Material sourcing, e.g. raw materials, packaging, etc.
Vendor management - price negotiations, contracts and SLA's.
Supplier management - monitor supplier performance in terms of agreed service levels and contracts.
Generate the Master Resource Plan from SAP.
Place and follow up on purchase orders.

Competencies:

Organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complete and varied workload.
Proactive and adaptable to changing business needs.
