Procurement Clerk - eThekwini Durban Kwazulu Natal

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12, Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain advantageous
• 2 years’ experience within a similar role within manufacturing, logistics on an international level
• Own transport required – residing close to Cato Ridge area (Umlazi, Phoenix, Pietermaritzburg, KwaMashu, Westville, Hillcrest)

Key Performance Areas:

• Sourcing new suppliers
• Negotiations
• VCRD creations
• Zero penalties or delays in Freight goods
• Updating and reporting on pending indents
• Updating and reporting on pending purchase orders
• Monitoring of prices and usage of consumables and advising responsible persons
• Conducting supplier audits
• Problem solving and assisting in case of absenteeism
• Monthly kaizen submissions
• Invoice check and submission to accounts
• Freight forwarder documentation (checking, sign-off & submission)

• Highly systematic, organised and accurate record keeping
• Sound negotiation skills and product knowledge
