Procurement Coordinator

Our client is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to join their team, based in Roodepoort.

Successful candidate will play a pivotal role managing procurement, inventory optimisation, and supplier relationships, to support lean and cost?efficient operations.

Minimum Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Management, or related field
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing—preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in supplier negotiation, contract management, and purchase order systems. Familiarity with ERP or materials management systems is advantageous
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills—comfortable using Excel (e.g., cost- analysis, spend dashboards, inventory tracking)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building capabilities. Comfortable coordinating across cross-functional teams

Duties:-

• Oversee end -to -end procurement processes: supplier sourcing, evaluation, RFQ's / RFP's, price negotiation, contract execution, and PO issuance
• Manage supplier performance metrics: delivery reliability, quality compliance, cost benchmarking; conduct corrective action as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory control and coordinate with production and logistics units to align supply with manufacturing schedules
• Build and maintain key vendor relationships to ensure alignment on cost, quality, lead-time, and contract terms
• Develop and manage cost- saving initiatives, monitor spend trends, and report procurement performance
• Coordinate logistics and inbound delivery planning in conjunction with operations or warehouse teams
