Procurement Engineer (34BW1)

We are looking for Procurement Engineer for a fixed-term contract Position with our client based in Midrand and Pretoria. We are looking for experience from the Automotive Industry.

We are looking for a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Purchasing work experience to include Process Standards, Results and Compliance.

 

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

 

Minimum educational level:

• Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management

 

We require the following 3 to 5 yearsâ?? work experience with the following:

The responsible buyer for commodities: 

• Sponsoring and Cooperation
• Events
• Marketing Services
• Purchasing projects related to the Sales function
• To fulfill the required sourcing, a complex purchasing procedure must be followed

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote and institute the most cost-effective use of company resources in the sourcing of specific requirements as allocated in the current responsibility matrix.

  • market analysis content clarification
  • bidder circle compilation and maintenance of commodity strategies
  • assessing quotations for technical alternatives
  • quotation comparisons
  • price negotiations
  • sourcing recommendations
  • order placements
  • project evaluations and maintenance of hourly rates agreements and of outline agreements
• These demand-related tasks are accompanied by general tasks, which are necessary to fulfil the procurement process

• MPM
• Purchasing Instructions
• Market Evaluation (local and international)
• Market Development
• Supplier Evaluation (Financially and Technically)
• Supplier Development
• Definition of Standards (e.g., RFP maturity based on practical Scope of work)
• In addition, tasks of the Integrated Management System must be fulfilled (Ex: Training, JMS, Site Standards, and Compliances etc.)
• Process Improvement (e.g., Digital initiatives, COUPA, BBBEE improvements) and Target
• Development (Department and Individual)
