The Role:

We are looking for Procurement Engineer for a fixed-term contract Position with our client based in Midrand and Pretoria. We are looking for experience from the Automotive Industry.

We are looking for a minimum of 3 to 5 years of Purchasing work experience to include Process Standards, Results and Compliance.

Willing and able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time (Internationally) with a Valid Driverâ??s License.

Â

Minimum educational level:

Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management

Â

We require the following 3 to 5 yearsâ?? work experience with the following:

The responsible buyer for commodities:Â

Sponsoring and Cooperation
Events
Marketing Services
Purchasing projects related to the Sales function
To fulfill the required sourcing, a complex purchasing procedure must be followed

Skills and Experience:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote and institute the most cost-effective use of company resources in the sourcing of specific requirements as allocated in the current responsibility matrix.Â
- identification of demands
- assigning of demands
- market analysis content clarification
- bidder circle compilation and maintenance of commodity strategies
- assessing quotations for technical alternatives
- quotation comparisons
- price negotiations
- sourcing recommendations
- order placements
- project evaluations and maintenance of hourly rates agreements and of outline agreements
These demand-related tasks are accompanied by general tasks, which are necessary to fulfil the procurement process

Supplier Evaluation (Financially and Technically)
Supplier Development
Definition of Standards (e.g., RFP maturity based on practical Scope of work)
In addition, tasks of the Integrated Management System must be fulfilled (Ex: Training, JMS, Site Standards, and Compliances etc.)
Process Improvement (e.g., Digital initiatives, COUPA, BBBEE improvements) and Target
Development (Department and Individual)
