SUMMARY:

We’re recruiting on behalf of an established engineering organisation operating in the industrial and process sector, seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in technically complex projects across modular and process plant environments, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams from design through to commissioning.

Job & Company Description:
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating mechanical engineering deliverables across multiple projects within an EPS / project execution environment. The role involves close collaboration with process, piping, structural, electrical and automation teams, as well as hands-on involvement during fabrication, assembly, testing and site installation. The position offers broad exposure across the full project lifecycle, from detailed design and procurement through to execution and commissioning.
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum of 3–8 years’ experience in mechanical project engineering within industrial or process environments
Proven experience in process plant or modular plant projects
Industry exposure within mining, hydrometallurgy, metallurgical processing, oil and gas, petrochemical or chemical processing environments
Experience in capital equipment, EPC or EPS project execution environments
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, equipment specification and material selection
Experience with pressure vessels, tanks, packaged equipment or process skids
Hands-on exposure to fabrication workshops and an understanding of constructability and modularisation principles
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering inputs and manage multiple deliverables concurrently
Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
